treasure

psalm 37:4 and psalm 27:4 are verses that are near to my heart.

“take delight in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart.”

“one thing i ask from the Lord, this only do i seek. that i may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to gaze on the beauty of the Lord and to seek Him in His temple.”

where is your heart hiding?

Jesus often reminded us that where our treasure is, there our heart is also.

our hearts will either be in the shadow of sin or the shadow of His wings.

what or who is leading your heart, will determine where they’ll lead you. one way leads to shame & death; the Way leads to peace & eternal life.

if we desire something other than Jesus Himself - the whole, perfect, holy, crucified, resurrected Jesus Christ, then we’ve missed it. we’ve missed the true treasure. may you seek His face before you seek His hand.

El Roi - the God who sees. who sees us in our suffering and our sin. our God who opens our eyes to see His glory! forever praying that our gaze is transfixed on His gaze. He’s locked eyes with you. don’t look away. He loves you so desperately. He has prayed and sang over you all this time that you would be made one with Him.

He’s closer than we think.

i pray that your life is saturated with His presence.
