this month two years ago, my dear friend serena hugged me goodbye in the portland airport before i flew down for my first year at GCU. serena was committed to PBC (portland Bible college).

we both had NO idea what the Lord was going to do with our lives. but we knew we loved Him, people, the church, and that we could sing of His love forever.

i then entered into the hardest 5 months of my life and walk with God. (ask me about my testimony sometime!) but now in my 3rd year at gcu, i look back and clearly see that my life doesn’t look the way i thought it would.

praise God for that.

serena today is a strong, steadfast leader within her school, community, and local church. she’s a part of manna house worship and is ushering people in the presence of God through her beautiful voice !!! i’ve been involved in outreach teams, my church in OR + AZ, and i just got back from kamp love gcu - a weekend spent in the woods, leading songs and worshiping King Jesus with so many wonderful people.

it’s really not about how much we’ve done… in fact, we are broken people with broken pasts.

but look what our Lord has done.

we couldn’t imagine our lives without Jesus in it and we can’t comprehend the ways He’s loved and blessed us.

1 cor 2:9 says, “however, as it is written: ‘what no eye has seen, what no ear has heard, and what no human mind has conceived -- the things God has prepared for those who love Him.”

it's amazing how time has told of His faithfulness.

our favorite thing to call each other is “Kingdom Buddies”.

it is simple yet such a powerful reminder that God has sent us together with one heart, as one church, as one bride of Christ.

we are sent together on different missions.
